MRGR vs. PSCT ETF Comparison

Comparison of ProShares Merger ETF (MRGR) to PowerShares S&P SmallCap Information Technology Portfolio (PSCT)
MRGR

ProShares Merger ETF

MRGR Description

The investment seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that track the performance of the S&P Merger Arbitrage Index (the "index"). The fund is designed to track the performance of the index and provide exposure to a global merger arbitrage strategy. The index, and by extension the fund, seeks to produce consistent, positive returns in virtually all market environments, although there are no assurances it will achieve this result. The fund is non-diversified. The index seeks to provide a risk arbitrage strategy that exploits commonly observed price changes associated with a global selection of publicly announced mergers, acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations. Historically, the index has exhibited market neutral characteristics, lower volatility compared to the S&P 500, and a low correlation to S&P 500 returns.

PowerShares S&P SmallCap Information Technology Portfolio

PSCT Description The PowerShares S&P SmallCap Information Technology Portfolio (Fund) is based on the S&P SmallCap 600® Capped Information Technology Index (Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of common stocks of US information technology companies. These companies are principally engaged in the business of providing information technology-related products and services, including computer hardware and software, Internet, electronics and semiconductors and communication technologies. The Index is a subset of the S&P SmallCap 600® Index, which is a float-adjusted, market-capitalization-weighted index reflecting the US small-cap market. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.
