Semtech Corporation Description

Semtech Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, designs, develops, manufactures, and markets analog and mixed signal semiconductor products. Its product lines include protection products, such as filter and termination devices that are integrated in with the transient voltage suppressor devices to provide protection for electronic systems; and advanced communications products consisting of a portfolio of proprietary advanced wired communication, ultra-high speed Serializer/Deserializer and modulator driver products for transport communication used in various communications and industrial applications. The company also offers gennum products, which include a portfolio of optical communications, broadcast video, active cable transceiver, and backplane products used in various enterprise computing, industrial, communications, and high-end consumer applications; and power management products that control, alter, regulate, and condition the power supplies within electronic systems. The power management product line comprises switching voltage regulators, combination switching and linear regulators, smart regulators, and charge pumps, which are used in industrial, military, medical, aerospace, and defense systems, including satellite communications applications. In addition, Semtech Corporation provides a portfolio of specialized radio frequency functions used in various industrial, medical, and networking applications, as well as specialized sensing functions used in industrial and consumer applications. It serves primarily original equipment manufacturers that produce and sell electronics. The company sells its products directly, as well as through independent sales representative firms and independent distributors in North America, the Asia Pacific, and Europe. Semtech Corporation was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Camarillo, California.
