PSCU Description

The PowerShares S&P SmallCap Utilities Portfolio (Fund) is based on the S&P SmallCap 600® Capped Utilities & Telecom Services Index (Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of common stocks of US utilities and telecommunication services companies. These companies are principally engaged in providing either energy, water or natural gas utilities, as well as services designed to promote or enhance the transmission of voice, data and video over various communications media, including wireline, wireless (terrestrial-based), satellite and cable. The Index is a subset of the S&P SmallCap 600® Index, which is a float-adjusted, market-capitalization-weighted index reflecting the US small-cap market. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.

SAEF Description Schwab Ariel ESG ETF is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. The fund is co-managed by Ariel Investments, LLC. It invests in the public equity markets of the United States. The fund invests in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in growth and value stocks of diverse market cap companies, within the market capitalization range of the Russell 2500 Index. The fund invests in stocks of companies that are deemed socially conscious in their business dealings and directly promote environmental responsibility. It employs fundamental and quantitative analysis with bottom-up stock picking approach to create its portfolio. It employs proprietary research to create its portfolio. Schwab Ariel ESG ETF was formed on November 16, 2021 and is domiciled in the United States.
