The company operates in three segments: Applications, Scores, and Tools. The Applications segment provides pre-configured decision management applications and associated professional services, designed for a specific type of business problems or process, such as marketing, account origination, customer management, fraud, and insurance claims management, as well as associated professional services. The Scores segment offers business-to-business scoring solutions and services, which give its clients access to analytics and integrate into their transaction streams and decision-making processes; and myFICO solutions for consumers, as well as associated professional services. The Tools segment provides software tools for clients to create their own custom decision management applications. The company markets its products and services primarily through its direct sales organization and independent distributors; and through indirect channels, including alliance partners and other resellers, as well as online. Fair Isaac Corporation was founded in 1956 and is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
