KCE Description

The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index that tracks the performance of publicly traded companies that do business as broker-dealers, asset managers, trust and custody banks or exchanges. In seeking to track the performance of the S&P Capital Markets Select Industry Index, the fund employs a replication strategy. It generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index. The index represents the capital markets industry group of the S&P Total Market Index ("S&P TMI"). It is non-diversified.

PowerShares S&P MidCap Low Volatility Portfolio

XMLV Description The PowerShares S&P MidCap Low Volatility Portfolio (Fund) is based on the S&P MidCap 400 Low Volatility Index (Index). The Fund generally will invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is compiled, maintained and calculated by Standard & Poor's, consisting of 80 out of 400 medium-capitalization range securities from the S&P MidCap 400 Index with the lowest realized volatility over the past 12 months. Volatility is a statistical measurement of the magnitude of up and down asset price fluctuations over time. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.
