CPS Technologies Corporation provides advanced material solutions to the electronics, power generation, automotive, and other industries. Its products are used in applications, which involve energy use or energy generation. The company primarily offers metal matrix composites that are a combination of metal and ceramic for various applications, including integrated circuits used in Internet switches and routers; and motor controllers used in high-speed electric trains, subway cars, and wind turbines. It also supplies lids and heat spreaders for microprocessors, application-specific integrated circuits, and other integrated circuits; and baseplates and heat spreaders on which power semiconductors are mounted to produce modules for motor control, as well as offers products for insulated gate bipolar transistor applications used in electric trains, subway cars, wind-generating turbines, and hybrid and electric vehicles. In addition, the company assembles housings and packages for hybrid circuits; and develops and supplies components for structural applications, which include armor, robotic arms for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and components used in oil and gas industries. It sells its products primarily to wireless communications infrastructure market, microprocessor market, motor controller market, and other microelectronic and structural markets in the United States, Europe, and Asia. The company was formerly known as Ceramics Process Systems Corporation and changed its name to CPS Technologies Corporation in March 2007. CPS Technologies Corporation was incorporated in 1984 and is headquartered in Norton, Massachusetts.
