The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Solactive MLP & Energy Infrastructure Index. The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in the securities of the underlying index. It also invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities of master limited partnerships and energy infrastructure corporations. The fund's 80% investment policies are non-fundamental and require 60 days' prior written notice to shareholders before it can be changed. The underlying index tracks the performance of MLPs and energy infrastructure corporations. It is non-diversified.

The investment seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to two times the inverse (-2x) of the daily performance of the Dow Jones U.S. UtilitiesSM Index. The fund invests in derivatives that ProShare Advisors believes, in combination, should have similar daily return characteristics as two times the inverse (-2x) of the daily return of the index. The index measures the performance of the utilities sector of the U.S. equity market.
