As of December 31, 2012, it also had nine exploration properties in Peru, Mexico, and Brazil; Yanacocha royalty property in Peru; and Mercurio royalty property in Brazil. The company was formerly known as Solitario Resources Corporation and changed its name to Solitario Exploration & Royalty Corp. in June 2008. Solitario Exploration & Royalty Corp. was founded in 1984 and is based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
