It invests in stocks of companies operating across communication services, telecommunication services, information technology, software and services, IT services, data processing and outsourced services, internet merchant services, payment processors, payment services providers and gateways, payment wallets, internet services and infrastructure, infrastructure services, hardware services, IT consulting and other services, information technology (IT) consulting, software, technology hardware and equipment, communications equipment, internet applications and e-commerce sites including financial services sectors. The fund invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. It seeks to track the performance of the MVIS Digital India Index, by using full replication technique. VanEck Digital India ETF is domiciled in the United States.

These may include firms that either monetize data or have the potential in the future to monetize data, such as those offering cloud computing technologies and services, data supporting infrastructure, data analytics solutions, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and augmented and virtual reality. In constructing the portfolio the investment managers use a proprietary fundamental, bottom-up research and analysis which leverages insights from diverse sources.
