Teleflex Incorporated Description

Teleflex Incorporated designs, develops, manufactures, and supplies single-use medical devices for common diagnostic and therapeutic procedures worldwide. It offers vascular access products for use in various clinical procedures to facilitate critical care therapies, including the administration of intravenous medications and other therapies, the measurement of blood pressure, and taking of blood samples through a single puncture site; anesthesia products, such as airway and pain management products under the Rusch brand name; respiratory care products, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, spirometry, and ventilation management products under the Hudson RCI brand name; and urology products for patients in hospital and home care markets. The company also offers surgical products, which include ligation and closure products used in surgical procedures; access ports for use in minimally invasive surgical procedures; fluid management products for use in chest drainage; and reusable hand-held instruments under the Deknatel, Pilling, Pleur-evac, Taut, and Weck brand names for general and specialty surgical procedures. In addition, it offers cardiac care products comprising diagnostic catheters, including thermodilution and wedge pressure catheters, angiographic catheters, sheaths for femoral and trans-radial aortic access, and intra-aortic balloon catheters; and capital equipment, such as intra-aortic balloon pumps. Further, the company offers OEM products, including custom-manufactured extrusions, catheters, introducers, dilators, and other devices under the TFX OEM brand name, as well as markets specialty sutures, resins, and yarns for cardiovascular and orthopedic applications under the Deknatel brand name. Teleflex Incorporated offers its products to hospitals and healthcare providers in approximately 140 countries through its direct sales force and distributors. The company was founded in 1943 and is headquartered in Limerick, Pennsylvania.
