InspireMD Inc., a medical device company, focuses on the development and commercialization of proprietary MGuard stent platform technology. Its lead products include MGuard stent, an embolic protection device based on a protective sleeve, which is constructed out of an ultra-thin polymer mesh and wrapped around the stent; and MGuard Prime, which include its mesh sleeve wrapped around a cobalt-chromium stent. The company markets its products for use primarily in patients with acute coronary syndromes, notably acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), and saphenous vein graft coronary interventions (bypass surgery). It sells its products through distributors in Europe, southeast Asia, India, and Latin America. InspireMD Inc. was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel.
