Core Molding Technologies, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, manufactures sheet molding compounds (SMC), and molds fiberglass reinforced plastics. The company specializes in large-format moldings and offers a range of fiberglass processes, including SMC and glass mat thermoplastics to manufacture compression-molded products; bulk molding compounds; and spray-up, hand lay-up, and resin transfer molding products. It also offers reaction injection molding products. Core Molding Technologies, Inc. sells its products for various markets, including medium and heavy-duty truck, marine, automotive, agriculture, construction, and other commercial products in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company was formerly known as Core Materials Corporation and changed its name to Core Molding Technologies, Inc. in August 2002. Core Molding Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
