Bank of Marin Bancorp operates as the holding company for Bank of Marin that offers a range of financial services primarily to professionals, small and middle-market businesses, and individuals in California. It offers personal and business checking and savings accounts; time deposit alternatives, including time certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, health savings accounts, and certificate of deposit account registry services; remote deposit capture; automated clearing house services; social security and pension checks; fraud prevention services, such as checks and ACH and image lockbox services; and valet deposit pick-up services. The company’s loan portfolio comprises commercial real estate loans, commercial and industrial loans and lines of credit, construction financing, consumer loans, and home equity lines of credit. It also provides merchant card services; credit cards; cash management services to business clients through a third party vendor; wealth management and trust services consisting of customized investment portfolio management, financial planning, trust administration, estate settlement and custody services, and advice of charitable giving; and 401(k) plan services. In addition, the company offers private banking services; international banking services; and automated teller machine, Internet banking, and telephone banking services. As of May 15, 2013, it operated 17 offices in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, and Napa counties. The company was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Novato, California.
