The Cable segment provides coaxial cable-based television services; and video, Internet, and voice services in the portions of Shenandoah County, Virginia, as well as in West Virginia, southern and southwestern Virginia, and western Maryland. This segment had 114,891 cable revenue generating units. The Wireline segment provides regulated and unregulated voice services, dial-up and digital subscriber line (DSL) Internet access, and long distance access services in the Shenandoah and northwestern Augusta counties of Virginia; and leases fiber optic facilities in the northern Shenandoah valley of Virginia, northern Virginia, and adjacent areas along the Interstate 81 corridor. This segment served approximately 22,297 telephone services customers; 996 dial-up customers; 12,567 DSL customers; and 10,175 long distance customers. Shenandoah Telecommunications Company also sells and leases equipment related to the services it provides. The company offers its products and services under the Sprint and Shentel brands.
