SwingTradeBot iOS (iPhone & iPad) App has been Released!
The iOS version of the SwingTradeBot app is now available in the App Store. As I mentioned last week when the Android app was released:
For now, it's a pretty stripped-down version of the website. I wanted to get something functional out relatively quickly in order to get feedback. I hope to release the iOS version of the app later this week. then I'll get back to building out features. With this initial version you can:
- Get push notifications of the intraday alerts (US/Nasdaq/NYSE version of the site only)
- Run most of the stock scans (with your default scan parameters)
- Access your watchlists and portfolios
- Search for and view individual stock detail pages
- Add stocks to your watchlists
After the iOS app has been released I'll be working on adding:
- Edit and delete watchlist stocks
- Add, edit and delete portfolio stocks
- Ability to change filter parameters when running scans
- Better, hopefully interactive, charts
- (Hopefully) swiping to move through a list of stocks (scan results or a watchlist)
- and a few more features from the website
Please let me know any feedback you have, positive or negative. I also want to know what features people want on the app. The apps will probably never be as feature complete as the site-- some things are still better done on a full-blown computer with a large display! And the site will continue to be mobile friendly.

Thanks for all the efforts, Michael. I do prefer to use the site on an actual computer, but the app would be handy for push notifications. Unfortunately I signed up using the "Login with Google" button and am unable to login and use the app with my paid STB account.
Not a priority for me though since I prefer the site on a laptop and I assume there is additional work for you to get Google's oauth2 working through the app. Just a data point.

Sorry about that Jason. I have decided to stop supporting the Google and Facebook oauth mainly because I don't want to deal with supporting oauth on the apps. I can switchyiur account so that it uses a regular password if you'd like. I'm probably going to force the change for everybody this weekend.

That makes sense. I know oauth can be just another pain to deal with and wouldn't mind having the account switched to a normal login. Again, not a priority, feel free to get to it if/when you have time. Cheers.

Mike, this is great! been using it for intra-day alerts and the notifications are awesome. However, i am having an issue remaining logged on to the iOS app. lets say after a day of using the app, i get an intraday notification and i click the alert, it takes me to the app but the watchlist does not load and it appears my account is still logged on or off, i cannot tell. so i attempt to log back in. any ideas?

Hi Justin. I'm glad you're liking the alerts. I know about the not-able-to-stay-logged-in issue on the iOS app. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix that. In the mean time, a workaround you could try is to just use the pushed alerts as a prompt to load your intraday alerts page in your phone's browser. You can find that page in the site's navigation menu under "My Stocks -> Intraday alerts". Hopefully I'll have a fix by this weekend.

I'm pretty sure the staying logged in issue is fixed now. You should now be able to stay logged in for 30 days at a time.
