The electric vehicle industry in China is one of the largest and most rapidly growing industries in the world. China is the world’s largest producer and consumer of electric vehicles, accounting for more than half of the global market. The Chinese government has been actively promoting the development of electric vehicles, providing generous subsidies and incentives to manufacturers and consumers. This has led to a surge in the number of electric vehicles on the roads, with more than 1.2 million electric vehicles sold in China in 2018. The Chinese government has also set ambitious targets for the industry, aiming to have 5 million electric vehicles on the roads by 2020.
