- Liquid Natural Gas
Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) is a form of natural gas that has been cooled to a liquid state, at about -260°F, for ease of storage or transport. It takes up about 1/600th the volume of natural gas in its gaseous state. LNG is primarily composed of methane, with some other hydrocarbons mixed in. It is odorless, colorless, non-toxic and non-corrosive. LNG is primarily used as a fuel for vehicles, homes, and businesses, and can also be used as a feedstock for the production of petrochemicals.
