Direct Finance Leases

Direct finance leases are a type of lease agreement in which the lessee (the person or entity leasing the asset) makes payments directly to the lessor (the person or entity owning the asset). The lessor retains ownership of the asset throughout the lease period and the lessee has the right to use the asset for the duration of the lease. At the end of the lease period, the lessee may have the option to purchase the asset at a predetermined price.
