It primarily invests in below investment grade debt securities, high-yield debt securities, loans and preferred stocks rated Ba or lower by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. or BB or lower by Standard & Poor's Ratings Group. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against Merrill Lynch High Yield Index. It was formerly known as Evergreen Income Advantage Fund. Wells Fargo Advantage Income Opportunities Fund was formed on December 3, 2002 and is domiciled in the United States.
