Dreyfus High Yield Strategies Fund is a closed-ended balanced mutual fund launched and managed by The Dreyfus Corporation. The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the United States. The fund focuses on investments in advertising, aerospace and defense, agricultural, airlines, auto manufacturing, automotive, trucks and parts, building and construction, cable and media, commercial services, consumer products, diversified financial services, electric utilities, electrical and electronics, entertainment, environmental control, food and beverages, gaming and lodging, and healthcare sectors. It primarily invests fixed-income securities of below investment- grade credit quality which may include securities of company at early stage of development and companies with a highly leveraged financial structure. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against Merrill Lynch U.S High Yield Master 11 Constrained Index. Dreyfus High Yield Strategies Fund was formed in April 29, 1998 and is domiciled in United States.
