Qwest Corporation, an integrated communications company, provides communication services to the residential, business, governmental, and wholesale clients primarily in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The company offers broadband services for connecting to Internet; private line services; Ethernet, including point-to-point and multi-point configurations that facilitate data transmissions across metropolitan areas and wide area networks, as well as transmission services to wireless service providers; video services, such as market, sell, and bill satellite digital television under the DIRECTV brand name; and wireless services comprising market, sell, and bill wireless services under the Verizon brand. It also provides local calling services, such as call forwarding, caller identification, conference calling, voice mail, selective call ringing, and call waiting to the residential and business clients, as well as resale of voice services and the sale of unbundled network elements; integrated services digital network services; wide area network that enables local communications network to link to networks in remote locations; switched access services to wireline and wireless service providers for the use of its to originate and terminate their interstate and intrastate voice transmissions. In addition, the company leases and subleases space in its office buildings, warehouses, and other properties. As of December 31, 2013, it served approximately 3.4 million broadband subscribers; and operated approximately 7.6 million access lines. The company was incorporated in 1911 and is based in Monroe, Louisiana. Qwest Corporation is a subsidiary of Qwest Services Corporation.
