The company provides international seaborne transportation services carrying petroleum products and crude oil for the oil industry; and drybulk commodities for the steel, electric utility, construction, and agriculture-food industries. As of December 31, 2012, its fleet consisted of 7 owned vessels, including six tankers and one drybulk vessel. The company was formerly known as Top Tankers Inc. and changed its name to Top Ships Inc. in December 2007. Top Ships Inc. was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Athens, Greece.
