Mueller Water Products Description

Mueller Water Products, Inc. engages in the manufacture and marketing of products and services used in the transmission, distribution, and measurement of water primarily in the United States and Canada. The company operates through two segments, Mueller Co. and Anvil. The Mueller Co. segment offers valves for water and gas systems, including iron gate, butterfly, tapping, check, plug, and ball valves; small valves, meter bars, and line stopper fittings for use in gas systems; dry-barrel and wet-barrel fire hydrants; pipe repair products, such as clamps and couplings used to repair leaks; and municipal castings comprising manhole covers and street drain grates. It also provides residential and commercial metering products and systems; leak detection and pipe condition assessment products and services; and installation, replacement, and maintenance services on new and existing valves, fire hydrants, and service lines. This segment sells its products primarily through waterworks distributors to various end user customers, including municipalities, water and wastewater utilities, gas utilities, and fire protection and construction contractors. The Anvil segment manufactures and sources a range of products, including various fittings, couplings, valves, pipe nipples, hangers and supports, forged steel pipe fittings, hammer unions, bull plugs, swage nipples, and other related pipe products for use in various forms of non-residential construction for fire protection, industrial, energy, and oil and gas applications, as well as for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning applications. This segment sells its products principally through distributors to various end users, including commercial contractors. Mueller Water Products, Inc. is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
