The company operates through two segments: Process Equipment Group and Batesville. The Process Equipment Group segment designs, produces, markets, and services equipment and systems used in processing applications for various industrial markets. It offers compounding and extruding equipment, bulk materials handling systems, and related engineering services; feeding and pneumatic conveying equipment; separation equipment, including gyratory and vibratory screeners and sifters; and size reduction equipment, conveying systems, and screening equipment under the Pennsylvania Crusher, Gundlach, and Jeffrey Rader brands. The Batesville segment manufactures and sells funeral services products, including burial caskets, cremation caskets, containers and urns, burial vaults, selection room display fixturing, and other personalization and memorialization products. Hillenbrand, Inc. is headquartered in Batesville, Indiana.
