The Gabelli Global Utility & Income Trust is a closed-ended equity mutual fund launched by GAMCO Investors, Inc. It is managed by Gabelli Funds, LLC. The fund invests in public equity markets across the globe. It primarily invests in stocks of utility industry which include companies engaged in the business of products, services or equipment for the generation or distribution of electricity, and gas or water; infrastructure operations such as airports, toll roads and municipal services; and telecommunications services such as telephone, telegraph, satellite, cable, microwave, radiotelephone, mobile communication, cellular, paging, electronic mail, videotext, voice communications, data communications, and internet and other industries that are expected to periodically pay dividends. The fund benchmarks the performance of its investments against the S&P 500 Utilities Index. Gabelli Global Utility & Income Trust was founded on May 28, 2004 and is based in United States.
