It offers network solutions, which include automated medical fee auditing, preferred provider services, retrospective utilization review, independent medical examinations, and inpatient bill review. The company also offers a range of patient management services, which include working on a one-on-one basis with injured employees and their various healthcare professionals, employers, and insurance company adjusters, as well as processing of claims for self-insured payers to property and casualty insurance. In addition, it operates directed care networks that provide diagnostic imaging, physical and occupational therapy, independent medical evaluations, durable medical equipment, and transportation and translation services. The company assists insurance companies, third-party administrators, governmental entities, and self-administered employers in managing medical costs and monitoring the quality of care associated with healthcare claims. CorVel Corporation was founded in 1987 and is based in Irvine, California.
