The fund seeks to invest in hybrid adjustable rate, adjustable rate and fixed rate residential mortgage backed securities issued or guaranteed by a U.S. Government-sponsored entity (GSE), such as the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, or guaranteed by the Government National Mortgage Administration. The company's portfolio also includes the investments in unsecured notes and bonds, treasuries, and money market instruments. ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. was founded in 2008 and is based in Vero Beach, Florida.
