The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the ISE High IncomeTM Index (the "index"). The fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in securities of the index. Because the index is comprised of securities issued by other investment companies, the fund operates in a manner that is commonly referred to as a "fund of funds," meaning that it invests its assets in shares of funds included in the index. The index seeks to measure the performance of the top 30 U.S. exchange-listed closed-end funds.

The investment seeks current income and capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the portfolio managers will invest at least 80% of the fund's net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in preferred securities issued by U.S. and non-U.S. companies. Preferred securities in which the fund may invest include preferred stock, hybrid preferred securities that have characteristics similar to both preferred stock and debt securities, floating rate preferred securities, junior subordinated debt, senior unsecured debt obligations denominated in $25 par amounts, re-packaged preferreds, and convertible securities.
