PBW Description
The PowerShares WilderHill Clean Energy Portfolio (Fund) is based on the WilderHill Clean Energy Index (Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is designed to deliver capital appreciation through the selection of companies that focus on greener and generally renewable sources of energy and technologies that facilitate cleaner energy. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.

The investment seeks investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index that tracks the small capitalization segment of global emerging market countries. The fund employs a sampling strategy in seeking to track the performance of the S&P® Emerging Markets Under USD2 Billion Index. It generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index or in American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs") or Global Depositary Receipts ("GDRs") based on securities comprising the index.
