Sysco Corporation, through its subsidiaries, markets and distributes a range of food and related products primarily to the foodservice or food-away-from-home industry. The company distributes a line of frozen foods, such as meats, seafood, fully prepared entrees, fruits, vegetables, and desserts; a line of canned and dry foods; fresh meats; dairy products; beverage products; imported specialties; and fresh produce. It also supplies various non-food items comprising paper products, including disposable napkins, plates, and cups; tableware, such as china and silverware; cookware consisting of pots, pans, and utensils; restaurant and kitchen equipment and supplies; and cleaning supplies. In addition, it distributes personal care guest amenities, equipment, housekeeping supplies, room accessories, and textiles to the lodging industry. The company offers its products to the restaurants, hospitals and nursing homes, schools and colleges, hotels and motels, industrial caterers, lodging establishments, and other foodservice customers through distribution facilities. As of June 29, 2013, it operated 193 distribution facilities in the United States, Bahamas, Canada, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
