AMREP Corporation, through its subsidiaries, engages in media services and real estate businesses. It operates in four segments: Subscription Fulfillment Services; Newsstand Distribution Services; Product Packaging and Fulfillment Services, and Other; and Real Estate Operations. The company offers subscription fulfillment and related services primarily comprising magazine subscription fulfillment services and ancillary services for consumer publications, membership organizations, trade (business) publications, and government agencies. It also distributes periodicals to wholesalers in North America and approximately 80 countries worldwide. In addition, the company offers packaging services, which include Internet order processing and shipment services for e-commerce retailers, as well as packaging design, procurement, and product fulfillment services; and temporary staffing services. Its real estate activities include the sale of developed and undeveloped lots to homebuilders, commercial and industrial property developers, and others; and investments in commercial and investment properties. The company's property portfolio consists of 91,049 acres in Sandoval County near Albuquerque, New Mexico; and 2 tracts of land in Colorado, including 1 property of approximately 160 acres planned for homes and 1 property of approximately 10 acres zoned for commercial use. AMREP Corporation was founded in 1961 and is based in Princeton, New Jersey.
