It also provides debit and credit cards; business cash management services; financial planning services, including wealth and risk management, estate planning, charitable planning, and retirement and succession planning; and online banking, bill payment, mobile banking, coin counting, direct deposit, notary, gold medallion signature guarantee, safe deposit box rental, stop payment, and wire transfer services. The company operates through branches in the Charlottesville, Drakes Branch, Harrisonburg, Luray, Martinsville, McGaheysville, Shenandoah, and Stuart regions of the Commonwealth of Virginia; and the Carolina State Bank division in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as mortgage offices in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Florida. In addition, it offers payroll services. The company was founded in 1893 and is based in Luray, Virginia.
