Lymphocytic Leukemia

Lymphocytic leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the white blood cells, or lymphocytes, in the body. It is a type of leukemia, which is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. In lymphocytic leukemia, the body produces too many abnormal lymphocytes, which can crowd out healthy white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. This can lead to anemia, infections, and other serious health problems. Treatment for lymphocytic leukemia typically involves chemotherapy, radiation, and/or stem cell transplant.
