Black candlesticks are bearish, but buyers are building an advantage
over 1 year ago by noreply@blogger.com (Declan Fallon) @ Fallond Picks

It was a day when markets closed below their open, but above yesterday's close; this set-up is typically bearish and shows as a black candlestick in a chart.  The problem is that buyers have been building a nice edge since the big bullish engulfing patterns from last week. The expectation for tomorrow is a day of selling - so if this doesn't happen then bulls can look to the rest of the week with optimism. The Russell 2000 is the index to watch.  In addition to today's gain it also managed a break from the declining channel on higher volume accumulation.  Technicals have shifted more in favor of bulls with 'buy' signals in the MACD, On-Balance-Volume and the ADX with sharp gains in relative performance to peer indices.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcpEjJNEVdgQs1j9Ki9GPFYZSPtJeAxeLw5iQ54uEGnkzBBfF5DBv72jEbf8a-4ulkAZgWTylnSDefDNRm_HqlXtsB4_-67OwfMoxklNUAn9ywlf2mlKRXbvFuox...

The exception has been Commodities (DBC), though many asset allocation […] The post [PLUS] Weekly Macro Perspectives – “Correlations Go To One In A Crisis” appeared first on All Star Charts.

over 1 year ago by StockCharts @ StockCharts.com YouTube Channel

After one week of hiatus, Julius is back with a new episode of Sector Spotlight. This week, he's catching up with a refresher on asset class rotation, as well as sector rotation. In the AC segment, he points to the still-inverted yield curve and how that has historically played out for the stock market. Julius separates the sector rotation into three segments -- Offensive, Defensive and Cyclical -- and points to strong rotation for Financials in an otherwise weak rotation for offensive sectors. And a weak rotation for Utilities in a generally strong rotation for defense. 00:00 - Intro 02:38 - Asset Class Rotation 18:49 - Sector Rotation 27:12 - Outro Julius' Articles: Strong Sector Rotation To Financials, But Will It Be Enough to Turn the Market Back Up?: https://schrts.co/mgkciIzp Connect with Julius: https://www.relativerotationgraphs.com/ Email Juliusdk@stockcharts.com Twitter - https://twitter.com/RRGresearch Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/RRGresearch/ LinkedIn - https:/...
