Ship Finance International Limited, through its subsidiaries, engages in the ownership and operation of vessels and offshore related assets in Bermuda, Cyprus, Malta, Liberia, Norway, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the Marshall Islands. It is also involved in the charter, purchase, and sale of assets. As of April 18, 2013, the company had a fleet of 65 vessels, including 24 crude oil tankers; 2 chemical tankers; 12 dry bulk carriers; 15 container vessels, which include 2 new buildings; 6 offshore supply vessels; 1 jack-up drilling rig; 1 ultra-deepwater drillship; 2 ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rigs; and 2 car carriers. The company operates in various sectors of the shipping and offshore industry comprising oil transportation, dry bulk shipments, chemical transportation, container transportation, car transportation, drilling rigs, and offshore supply vessels. Ship Finance International Limited was founded in 2003 and is based in Hamilton, Bermuda.
