Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides banking and financial services to individuals, partnerships, non-profit organizations, and corporations in Pennsylvania. It accepts various time, demand, and savings deposits, including Super NOW accounts, statement savings accounts, money market accounts, fixed rate certificates of deposit, club accounts, checking accounts, safe deposits, and IRAs. The company also offers loan products comprising secured and unsecured business loans that include financing commercial transactions, as well as revolving credit loans with overdraft protection. Its loan portfolio comprise agricultural loans; real estate loans, including residential, commercial, and construction; and consumer loans that comprise residential mortgages, home equity loans and lines, automobile financing, personal loans, overdraft check lines, and PHEAA referral loans, as well as letter and lines of credits. In addition, the company provides securities brokerage and financial planning services, which include the sale of life insurance products, annuities, and estate planning services; and mutual fund investment products, as well as ATM, Internet, and telephone banking services. It operates through 13 offices located in Clinton, Lycoming, Centre, and Montour Counties, as well as 9 branch offices in Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties. The company was founded in 1934 and is based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
