It operates seven banking offices located in Amesbury and Newburyport, Massachusetts and Portsmouth, and Exeter and Seabrook, New Hampshire. The company was founded in 1828 and is headquartered in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Provident Bancorp, Inc. is a subsidiary of Provident Bancorp.
