Southern Missouri Bancorp, Inc. operates as the bank holding company for the Southern Missouri Savings Bank that provides community banking services in the United States. It accepts various deposit instruments, including demand deposit accounts, negotiable order of withdrawal accounts, money market deposit accounts, saving accounts, certificates of deposit, and retirement savings plans. The company's lending activities consist of origination of loans for the acquisition or refinance of one- to four-family residences, as well as loans secured by commercial real estate, including improved and unimproved land, farmland, strip shopping centers, retail establishments, and other businesses. It also offers construction loans on residential and commercial properties; various secured consumer loans comprising home equity, direct and indirect automobile loans, second mortgages, mobile home loans, and loans secured by deposits; and commercial business loans, including loans to finance accounts receivable, inventory, equipment, and operating lines of credit. In addition, the company provides commercial and agricultural real estate and business loans. It offers its services through its headquarters in Poplar Bluff, and 17 full service offices in Missouri and Arkansas. The company was founded in 1887 and is headquartered in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
