XSHD Description

The PowerShares S&P SmallCap High Dividend Low Volatility Portfolio is based on the S&P SmallCap 600 Low Volatility High Dividend Index. The Fund will invest at least 90% of its total assets in securities that comprise the Index. The Index is composed of 60 securities in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index that have historically provided high dividend yields with lower volatility over the past 12 months. Volatility is a statistical measurement of the magnitude of up and down asset price fluctuations over time. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted semi-annually on the last business day in January and July.

PPH Description The investment seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Market Vectors US Listed Pharmaceutical 25 Index (the "Pharmaceutical Index"). The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the fund's benchmark index. The Pharmaceutical Index is comprised of common stocks and depositary receipts of U.S. exchange-listed companies in the pharmaceutical industry. Such companies may include medium-capitalization companies and foreign companies that are listed on a U.S. exchange. It is non-diversified.
