PSCT Description

The PowerShares S&P SmallCap Information Technology Portfolio (Fund) is based on the S&P SmallCap 600® Capped Information Technology Index (Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of common stocks of US information technology companies. These companies are principally engaged in the business of providing information technology-related products and services, including computer hardware and software, Internet, electronics and semiconductors and communication technologies. The Index is a subset of the S&P SmallCap 600® Index, which is a float-adjusted, market-capitalization-weighted index reflecting the US small-cap market. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.

CSB Description The Colonial BancGroup, Inc. operates as the holding company for Colonial Bank that provides retail and commercial banking, wealth management services, mortgage banking, and insurance products. The company primarily engages in generating deposits and originating loans. It offers various deposit products, such as noninterest bearing demand deposits, interest bearing demand deposits, savings deposits, certificates of deposit, time deposits, brokered time deposits, and reciprocal brokered time deposits. The company's loan portfolio comprises commercial, financial, and agricultural loans; commercial real estate loans; real estate construction loans; residential real estate loans; and personal, commercial, and mortgage loans. The Colonial BancGroup also provides treasury management, electronic banking, and credit card services. In addition, it offers various insurance products and annuities; full service and discount brokerage services, and investment advice; investment sales; asset management; trust services; and insurance sales including term, universal, whole life, and long-term care. The Colonial BancGroup serves its customers through its branch network, private banking offices, automated teller machines, and the Internet. As of December 31, 2008, it had a total of 347 branches, including 197 branches in Florida, 90 branches in Alabama, 19 branches in Georgia, 21 branches in Texas, and 20 branches in Nevada. The company was formerly known as Southland Bancorporation and changed its name to The Colonial BancGroup, Inc. in 1981. The Colonial BancGroup was founded in 1974 is based in Montgomery, Alabama. On June 3, 2011, Colonial Bancgroup Inc. went out of business as per its Chapter 11 liquidation filing under bankruptcy.
