It operates in four segments: Live and Televised Entertainment, Consumer Products, Digital Media, and WWE Studios. The Live and Televised Entertainment segment engages in the creation, marketing, and distribution of live and televised entertainment, including pay-per-view events and additional derivative programming; design, sourcing, marketing, and distribution of WWE-branded products, such as T-shirts, caps, and other novelty items; and provision of pay-per-view programming. It also offers WWE Classics On Demand, a subscription video on demand service that offers classic television shows, pay-per-view events, specials, and original programming for a monthly subscription fee; provides sponsorships in the United States market and Canada; and engages in television rights business. The Consumer Products segment has a licensing program using its marks and logos, copyrighted works, and characters on various retail products, including toys, video games, apparel, and books; engages in video production business; and publishes magazines. The Digital Media segment operates Websites; provides advertising services; sells merchandise on its Website at WWEShop Internet storefront; and offers broadband and mobile content. The WWE Studios segment is involved in the distribution of filmed entertainment. The company operates in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia Pacific, and Latin America. World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. was founded in 1980 and is based in Stamford, Connecticut.
