Wellesley Bancorp, Inc. operates as the bank holding company for Wellesley Bank that provides financial services to consumers and businesses. Its deposit products includes noninterest-bearing demand deposits, such as checking accounts; interest-bearing demand accounts comprising negotiable order of withdrawal and money market accounts; savings accounts; certificates of deposit; and remote capture products. The company also offers residential mortgage loans to purchase or refinance existing homes; commercial real estate loans; construction loans to contractors and builders, and individuals to finance the construction of residential dwellings, as well as for commercial development projects, including small industrial buildings and retail and office buildings; commercial lending products, such as term loans, revolving lines of credit, and equipment loans to professionals, sole proprietorships, and small businesses; home equity lines of credit; and other consumer loans that consist of fixed-rate second mortgage loans, automobile loans, loans secured by passbook or certificate accounts, and overdraft loans. In addition, it is involved in the provision of investment advisory services, as well as a range of non-deposit investment products, including mutual funds and equities through a third-party registered broker-dealer; and in buying, selling, and holding securities on its own behalf. The company serves its customers in the communities of Wellesley, Dover, and Needham in Norfolk County; and the communities of Natick, Newton, and Weston in Middlesex County, as well as in portions of the city of Boston in Suffolk County. As of December 31, 2012, it offered its services through 3 full service branch offices located in Wellesley, Massachusetts. The company was founded in 1911 and is based in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
