Union First Market Bankshares Corporation operates as the bank holding company for Union First Market Bank that provides banking and related financial services to consumers and businesses in the northern, central, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Tidewater, and Northern Neck regions of Virginia. It accepts various deposit products, such as checking, savings, NOW, and money market accounts, as well as certificates of deposit and other depository services. The company also offers loans for commercial, industrial, residential mortgage, and consumer purposes. In addition, it provides credit cards, automated teller machine services, Internet banking services, and online bill payment services, as well as private banking and trust services to individuals and corporations. Further, the company, through its non-bank financial services affiliates, offers securities, brokerage, and investment advisory services; mortgage loan products principally in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and South Carolina, as well as in the Mid-Atlantic and southeast states, and in Washington, D.C.; and various insurance products, including long term care insurance and business owner policies. As of March 31, 2013, it operated 90 branches and approximately 150 ATMs in Virginia. The company was founded in 1902 and is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
