Telecom Italia S.p.A., together with its subsidiaries, provides fixed-line and mobile telecommunications, Internet, and media services. The company offers voice and Internet services and products for individuals and families in the fixed and mobile telecommunications markets, as well as public telephony; and voice, data, Internet, and information and communications technology (ICT) solutions services and products for small and medium enterprises, small office home office, public sector, and large account and enterprise clientele in the fixed and mobile telecommunications markets. It also engages in the management and development of a portfolio of regulated and unregulated wholesale services for fixed and mobile telecommunications operators, ISPs/ASPs, and multinational companies. In addition, the company also operates and manages digital broadcasting networks of MTV and the Digital Multiplex channels, as well as offers accessory services, and radio and television broadcasting platforms. Further, the company operates MTV and MTV Music; produces multimedia musical platforms and satellite channels, as well as offers MTV Mobile Digital (Web). Further, it manufactures office products and services for information technology. As of December 31, 2012, it had approximately 14.0 million physical accesses, wholesale customer portfolio of 7.2 million accesses for telephone services, broadband portfolio of 9.0 million accesses, and 32.2 million mobile telephone lines in Italy; 70.4 million mobile telephone lines in Brazil; and approximately 4.1 million fixed lines, 21.3 million mobile telephone lines, and 1.6 million broadband accesses in Argentina and Paraguay. The company primarily operates in Europe, South America, and the Mediterranean Basin. Telecom Italia S.p.A. was founded in 1908 and is headquartered in Milan, Italy.
