Resolute Forest Products Inc. manufactures and sells newsprint, commercial printing papers, market pulp, and wood products. It produces newsprint; coated mechanical papers for use in magazines, catalogs, books, retail advertising, direct mail, and coupons; and specialty papers, including supercalendered, superbright, high bright, bulky book, and directory papers for use in books, retail advertising, direct mail, coupons, and other commercial printing applications. The company also provides market pulp for use in various consumer products comprising tissue, packaging, specialty paper products, diapers, and other absorbent products. In addition, it produces construction-grade lumber; engineered wood products, such as I-joists; and offer bed frame components, finger joints, and furring strips. Further, the company sells pulpwood, saw timber, and wood chips; and recycles newspapers and magazines. It serves commercial printers, direct mailers, publishers, catalogers, and retailers through its regional sales offices and international sales agents. The company markets its products in approximately 80 countries. The company was formerly known as AbitibiBowater Inc. and changed its name to Resolute Forest Products Inc. in May 2012. Resolute Forest Products Inc. is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
