Old Second Bancorp, Inc. operates as the bank holding company for Old Second National Bank that provides commercial and retail banking services to corporations, partnerships, individuals, and government agencies. The company offers demand, NOW, money market, savings, time deposit, individual retirement, and Keogh deposit accounts. It also provides commercial loans, including lines of credit for working capital and operational purposes, and term loans for the acquisition of equipment and other purposes; commercial real estate loans; construction loans; residential real estate loans consisting of residential first mortgages, second mortgages, and home equity line of credit mortgages; consumer loans, including motor vehicle, home improvement, and signature loans, as well as small personal credit lines; and installment loans, student loans, agricultural loans, and overdraft checking. In addition, the company offers safe deposit services; trust and wealth management services; and various services, such as traveler's checks, money orders, cashier's checks, foreign currency, direct deposits, discount brokerage, debit cards, credit cards, and other special services, as well as acquisition of U.S. Treasury notes and bonds. Further, it provides electronic banking services consisting of Internet banking; and corporate cash management products, including remote deposit capture, mobile deposit capture, investment sweep accounts, zero balance accounts, automated tax payments, ATM access, telephone banking, lockbox accounts, automated clearing house transactions, account reconciliation, controlled disbursement, detail and general information reporting, wire transfers, vault services, and checking accounts. Additionally, the company offers trust, investment, agency, and custodial services. As of December 31, 2012, it provided financial services through its 27 banking locations located in Chicago. The company was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Aurora, Illinois.
