Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. operates as a seaborne shipping and logistics company. It focuses on the transportation and transshipment of dry bulk commodities, including iron ore, coal, fertilizers, and grains. It operates in two segments, Drybulk Vessel Operations and Logistics Business. The Drybulk Vessel Operations segment engages in the transportation and handling of bulk cargoes through the ownership, operation, and trade of vessels, freight, and forward freight agreements. This segment charters its vessels to trading houses, producers, and government-owned entities. The Logistics Business segment operates ports and transfer station terminals; handles vessels, barges, and push boats; and operates upriver transport facilities in the Hidrovia region. This segment provides its integrated transportation, storage, and related services to various petroleum, agricultural, and mining companies. The company controls a fleet of 30 owned vessels and 20 chartered-in vessels totaling 5.1 million deadweight tons. Its owned fleet comprises 14 Ultra Handymax, 10 Capesize, 1 Handysize, and 5 Panamax vessels; and chartered-in vessels consists of 7 Capesize, 6 Panamax, 1 Handysize, and 6 Ultra Handymax vessels under long-term time charters. The company operates primarily in North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. is headquartered in Piraeus, Greece.
