Mobile TeleSystems OJSC provides mobile and fixed voice, broadband, and pay TV, as well as content and entertainment services in Russia, eastern Europe, and central Asia. It offers mobile cellular voice and data communication services; value-added services, as well as voice and SMS-based value-added services; and GPRS and Internet access. The company also sells equipment and accessories. In addition, it provides various telecommunications services to corporate clients, such as design, construction, and installation of local voice and data networks that interconnect with fixed line operators; installation and maintenance of cellular payphones; lease of digital communication channels; access to open computer databases and data networks, including the Internet; and provision of fixed, local, and long-distance telecommunications services, as well as video conferencing. As of June 20, 2013, the company served approximately 100 million mobile subscribers. It has a strategic cooperation agreement with Ericsson and a strategic partnership with Vodafone. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Moscow, the Russian Federation.
