Express Scripts Holding Company provides a range of pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services primarily in the United States and Canada. It offers healthcare management and administration services on behalf of its clients. The company's PBM services comprise retail network pharmacy management; home delivery pharmacy; benefit design consultation; drug utilization review; drug formulary management, and compliance and therapy management programs; an array of Medicare Part D and Medicaid products; specialty pharmacy services, such as the distribution of fertility pharmaceuticals that require special handling or packaging; bio-pharma services, including reimbursement and logistics solutions; group purchasing organization administration services; consumer health and drug information services; and medicine and pharmacogenomics application services. It is also involved in the distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to providers and clinics; and development of scientific evidence to guide the use of medicines. Express Scripts Holding Company provides its PBM services to managed care organizations, health insurers, third-party administrators, employers, union-sponsored benefit plans, workers' compensation plans, and government health programs; and specialty services to managed care organizations, health insurers, third-party administrators, employers, union-sponsored benefit plans, government health programs, office-based oncologists, renal dialysis clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, primary care physicians, retina specialists, and others. The company was formerly known as Aristotle Holding, Inc. and changed its name to Express Scripts Holding Company in April 2012. Express Scripts Holding Company was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
