CU Bancorp operates as a bank holding company for California United Bank that provides various financial products and services to businesses, business owners, entrepreneurs, non-profits, professionals, and high net-worth individuals primarily in the greater Los Angeles area. The company offers a range of deposit products, including non-interest bearing demand, interest bearing demand deposits, money market accounts, time certificates of deposit, and checking and savings accounts, as well as individual retirement accounts and negotiable order of withdrawal accounts. Its loan portfolio comprises commercial and industrial loans, commercial and residential real estate loans, land and construction loans, home equity lines of credit, and personal loans, as well as automobile loans and letters of credit. The company also offers automated teller machines, Visa debit cards, and ATM cards; and bank-by-mail, courier, cash management, telephone banking, domestic and international wires, and credit cards services, well as provides Internet banking and bill payment services. As of December 31, 2011, it had six branch offices in Southern California, as well as operated two loan production offices. The company was incorporated in 2004 and is headquartered in Encino, California.
